Located on Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm, younger children can get involved with piggy racing, guinea pig fishing and animal encounters. 42 acres of countryside, woodlands and water gardens ensure plenty of space for team based activities and adventurous pursuits. Learn about how a sustainable farm works, rare breed conservation, environmental and woodland management. Outdoor play areas are scattered around the site for down time fun including its very own zip wire. Classroom space is available for teaching and lecturing at the recently built Education Centre and the new events barn is a fantastic addition too if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Various catering packages are on offer including packed lunches, breakfast, barbecues and evening meals. Dietary demands can be met. There is a dining table in the conservatory at the hostel but the fabulous on site café is well set up for larger numbers and students can get themselves a special coffee or delicious snack during time off, although there is a well equipped kitchen to make a hot chocolate or prepare supper themselves. Easy chairs in the conservatory and sofas in the lounge are great for chilling out in front of the TV after a long day.
The variety of bedrooms at Stonehenge Hostel is a real plus for mixed groups. Smaller twin rooms with en suites mare available for leaders or teachers and the larger dorms for 10 great for the youngsters. Sleeping arrangements can be adjusted to suit the needs of the group.
