Historic manor house with a civil licence for weddings and receptions for 120 guests, near the Wye Valley
Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Treowen, Wonastow, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, Wales, sleeps 25 - 35 in 12 bedrooms.
Treowen offers the ideal setting for those who want to create their own special day, rather than accept a standard wedding package. You will have exclusive use of the house and gardens for the whole of your visit, whether it is a weekend, a midweek or a whole week.
Treowen is a Grade I listed Jacobean manor house set at the heart of a private 400 acre estate. It offers a range of reception rooms, as well as plenty of accommodation for guests (twelve bedrooms sleeping twenty five with 10 camp beds and 2 cots for any overspill). An extensive private garden with superb views gives the perfect setting for an outdoor reception, though to avoid disturbing our neighbours music and dancing is only allowed in the Banqueting Hall.
The marriage can be solemnized by the registrar in the Dining Room, the Banqueting Hall, the Oak Room, the Long Drawing Room or for an “outdoor” wedding the Porch.
While we do not provide the other services you may require such as caterers, florists and so on, there is a list of local suppliers recommended by previous visitors to Treowen on the Links page of our website, but you are free to choose any others you prefer.
If you would like to see the house, you are most welcome to view it provided that a time that does not inconvenience other visitors can be agreed. Between visitors on a Friday or during the week if the mid-week is not booked are usually good times, but other times can be arranged.
