Surrounded by the North York Moors and set in countryside that featured in the TV series Heartbeat, YHA Dalby Forest is a fully refurbished village school, which has 'Green Beacon' status and offers a high standard of accommodation. The hostel aims to have a minimal impact on the superb environment and countryside, and offers a unique experience of living with a compost toilet and sedum roof.

Only 15 miles away is the picturesque seaside town of Whitby. Full of history and horror from Captain James Cook to Count Dracula, you can spend hours roaming the quaint old streets or playing in the arcades.
